"A song for Peace" on Controcorrente TV from August 4th
Johannesburg, Southafrica, March 2007: the work started with the project "A Song for Peace" in Italian schools leads the band Nuove Tribu' Zulu to the 5th World Summit on Children and Media together with the FNSI (National federation of Italian Journalists).
A workshop run by NTZ at the Afrika Cultural Centre, permanent artistic hub directed by the artist Benjy Francis, with thirty kids coming from Cosmocity, a township in Johannesburg.
The lyrics, the emotions and the relationship with the children are some of the aspects that made this experience unforgettable.

The documentary film will be broadcast by ControcorrenteTV.it from August 4th in the following days:

December 2010: NOW INDIA TOUR
In collaboration with Chinh India, the Italian Institute of Culture in New Delhi and the Italian Embassy in India, NTZ present their Indian Tour.
For the first time an Italian rock band meets the Indian audience: Nuove Tribu' Zulu will be performing with NOW - Nomadic Orchestra of the World in the major Indian cities, from New Delhi to Chennai and Mumbai all the way to the futuristic Auroville for an extraordinary experience.
With the Italian tour in 2009, the project was awarded the prize "Suoni di Confine" (Sounds of Borders) by Amnesty International and MEI (Independent Labels Meeting) as best Live Project of the year.


Spring 2010
Nuove Tribu' Zulu perform on May 18th on Italian TV talk show Parla con Me on RAITRE.

Andrea Camerini is in India and performs with NOW - Nomadic Orchestra of the World.

The group appeared on Italian TV (RAIUNO) at the beginning of April with the new song 27 SECONDI (27 seconds) - the soundtrack to a documentary shot by Laura Di Nitto in Abruzzo after the earthquake that destroyed the historical center of the town in 2009.
The song is now available for download on ITunes (in order to raise money for a humanitarian project held by LA SCUOLA DI PACE in Haiti).

October 2009

MEI - Meeting Etichette Indipendenti and Amnesty International award Nuove Tribu' Zulu and NOW - Nomadic Orchestra of the World the prize "Suoni di Confine 2009" (Sounds of Borders) as best Live Project of the year.

Summer 2009 CARAVAN TOUR
The first Italian Caravan Tour saw NTZ and NOW - Nomadic Orchestra of the World on some of the most important stages of the Italian Ethno-folk scene (Sconfinando - Sarzana, Villa Ada - Roma, Itinerari Folk - Trento, Palermo, Cervara). ° 2008-2009

NTZ are back from India where they followed up with the project NOW Nomadic Orchestra of the World. They played live with the nomadic musicians form Rajasthan and Haryana at Garhi Art Garden as well as at the India Habitat Centre Auditorium in New Delhi. Local and national press gave this initiative a great space with articles and interviews on magazines such as Time Out Delhi and Mail Today India.
° The CD GENTE DEL CIELO is out in shops distributed by Venus. The title means “People from the Sky” and is hugely inspired by the journey to Kwa Zlu Natal in Southafrica during the Fifth World Summit on Children and Media held in Jo’burg in 2007. On behalf of FNSI (National Federation of Italian Journalists), the band run a workshop for kids at the Afrika Cultural Centre for the project “A Song for Peace”. (watch the video on youtube).
°On 20th December 2007 NTZ meet the gipsy Roma dancers Cheja' Celen. Further info on www.teatrobibliotecaquarticciolo.it
° From January until the end of March, NTZ will be in Rajasthan working with the nomads involved in the music project NOW realized by the association Chinh-India-Italia.
° NTZ are always working with and for kids: this time Fantastica. A tribute to Gianni Rodari is performing at the Children’s Literature Festival in Cento (Ferrara).
° Editrice Zona (www.editricezona.it) published IL SOGNO/THE DREAM. www.myspace.com/ntzsogno A book made of poetry, illustrations and music. The trio experimental poetry sound project of NTZ.
° La Casa dei Conigli by Tiziano Squillace and Giovanna Pignataro has produced the great and colourful animation videoclip DA DOMANI CAMBIO VITA. (watch the video)
° NTZ realized the music for Gt Ragazzi the daily kids news programme produced by TG3 and broadcast by Rai Tre www.gtragazzi.rai.it
° M.E.I. 2007 indipendent music label international meeting: participation at the conference managed by the journalist Valerio Corzani “Migrants, brigands and passers-by: stories, returns and gipsy surprises” with Paolo Ferrari – journalist, Andrea Camerini – Nuove Tribù Zulu, Erasmo Treglia – Aquaragia Drom, Stefano del Sette – journalist and writer, Vincenzo Perna – World Music Magazine, Ettore Bonafè – Fuentes.
° At Rome International Cinema Festival NTZ will perform for the first time with the young gipsy dancers Chejà Celen in collaboration with Arci Solidarietà.
° August/September 2007 – NOW is still on in India and the preparations are getting tighter with successful gigs and performances in New Delhi in fron of international audiences (www.chinh.in)
